Introduction
Do you want to be part of a driven team shaping the future of digital marketing at KLM? As our new Global Paid Search Marketing Manager, you alongside your colleague Jorin and our media agency will be responsible for KLM's global PPC strategy. Your primary objectives are to optimize visibility and ROAS while maximizing the incrementality of paid search across more than 70 countries.
What are you going to do?
In this role, you are responsible for:
- Leading and continuously evolving KLM’s global paid search strategy.
- Managing the daily collaboration with our media agency, ensuring an effective partnership and flawless campaign execution.
- Optimizing the paid search budget to achieve maximum efficiency and return on investment.
- Monitoring, analyzing, and reporting on campaign performance using your expertise in tools like PowerBI, Excel, and Google Analytics.
- Actively contributing to broader digital marketing initiatives, such as marketing mix modeling, automation, and privacy-related projects.
- Strategizing for the disruption of the search landscape caused by the rise of LLMs and setting the course to adapt to these changes.
- All efforts are focused on maximizing reach, website traffic, and revenue while ensuring an optimal customer experience.
Where do you land?
You will join KLM’s innovative and dynamic Digital Marketing department. This department consists of three specialized teams: Cross Channel & Creative Marketing, Owned Channels & Partnerships, and Performance Marketing.
As a Paid Search Marketing Manager, you will work within the Performance Marketing team alongside Programmatic and Social colleagues. All three teams are supported by the Air France-KLM Data & Technology team. Your profile

To be successful in this role, you have:
- A completed Bachelor’s (HBO) or Master’s (WO) degree, preferably in a commercial or related field.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in search advertising.
- Proven knowledge of Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and bidding tools such as Search Ads 360.
- Experience with or knowledge of key advertising tools like CDPs, Google Analytics, and Channable.
- Affinity for data analysis in Excel and PowerBI, with the ability to translate data for internal and external stakeholders.
- Proven experience in stakeholder management and cross-team project management.
- Knowledge of concepts such as feed management, incrementality, and attribution.
- Excellent command of the English language; Dutch proficiency is a plus but not required.
