Hours per week: 32-40
Education: Wo; Hbo

Introduction
At Air France-KLM we are looking for a Senior Design System Designer to continue to shape our multi brand Design System « Aero ». The role involves creating and maintaining inclusive, accessible components, tokens and documentation used by the whole design community, for products that serve millions of passengers. It also includes a governance component (contribution process, versioning, adoption metrics) and a move toward an "agentic" design system (MCP/agents).
If you are passionate about driving design system excellence, operational efficiency, and delivering scalable experiences, this role is tailored for you.
What are you going to do?
- you will define and run Aero's governance model: contribution process, decision-making, versioning, deprecation, quality gates and adoption metrics;
- you will evolve the design system by creating and updating inclusive components suited to their context of use, and by embedding the values of both brands;
- you will apply your design token expertise to extend the system to other platforms, validating that structural choices are consistent with business requirements;
- you will move the system toward an agentic model (MCP/agents) with clear guardrails for the design community, and support the technical architecture alongside the Lead;
- you will write comprehensive, up-to-date documentation covering everything the design system offers. You will support the design community by helping them apply the system, handling component requests and bugs, and keeping them informed of new additions and changes;
- finally, you will advocate for the design system across the organization, bridge design, product and development teams, and stay current on design and technology trends.
Where do you land?
You will join "Aero", Air France-KLM's design system team, made up of 5 passionate and highly skilled experts. This team provides the foundations (vision, standards, ready-to-use components) on which the entire design community builds its products. These products span multiple digital touchpoints (web, mobile, etc.) and must reflect both brands, Air France and KLM. The design system is a strategic lever: it makes it possible to deliver consistent, inclusive, easy-to-use products quickly and efficiently. You will work hand in hand with the Design System Lead on the technical architecture, and closely with designers, developers, product owners and other stakeholders. Your work is used by millions of passengers every year.
