Introduction

At Air France – KLM, we are looking for a Senior Design System Designer to continue to shape our Design System. As a design community we create digital experiences for our customers that spread across different touchpoints, in a way that reflect both of our brands. To create the best possible experiences, all of the basics should be in good shape. This allows us to deliver easy-to-use products that are consistent, inclusive and can be delivered in a fast and efficient way. Our design system plays a vital part in that by providing clear vision, standards and ready-to-use components to build any number of applications.

 

For this role, you will focus on the evolution of our Design System to extend and continuously improve it, ensuring it aligns with industry design principals and best practices, including the use of design tokens. It is your job to provide the standards and components so the rest of our design community can focus on building great products. Products that use the building blocks you created, used by millions of passengers every year! Your profile

  • A bachelor's degree in Design or a related field;
  • A minimum 5/6 years of experience in the digital design field;
  • Proven experience in designing and maintaining design systems at large scale;
  • Proficiency in setting up and maintaining design tokens. Experience setting up a design tokens strategy for a large company, ideally a multi brand company, to streamline the work of building, maintaining, and scaling products with a design system;
  • Extensive knowledge about Figma as a tool to create and distribute all parts of the design system to the design community;
  • Strong understanding of web and mobile design principles;
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG) and inclusive design practices;
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
  • Strong eye for detail and a high commitment to quality;
  • Excellent understanding of HTML/ CSS; knowledge of GitHub,
  • Fluent in English;
  • Ability to adapt to evolving design and technology trends.

  • A gross salary between €5.101,24 and €7.287,48 per month;
