Introduction

At the KLM Royal Dutch Airlines Engineering department, we are in the middle of a large-scale Agile transformation across 40+ engineering teams. These teams operate in a complex, highly regulated environment where reliability, safety, and speed are critical.

To steer this transformation effectively, we need to make Agile maturity measurable, transparent, and actionable. That’s where you come in.

What are you going to do?

Your Mission

You will play a key role in building a data-driven Agile performance and maturity system that helps teams and leadership continuously improve.

Your work will directly impact how engineering teams:

  • Prioritize work
  • Improve delivery predictability
  • Balance planned vs. unplanned work
  • Increase overall effectiveness

What You Will Do

You will own and drive the development of our Agile maturity measurement approach:

  • Redesign and improve the current Agile maturity framework;
  • Design smart, scalable questionnaires to assess team maturity;
  • Digitize and automate data collection (e.g., forms, integrations);
  • Build data pipelines to process and structure assessment data;
  • Design and develop dashboards (Power BI or similar) to visualize insights;
  • Analyze results and translate data into actionable recommendations.

Your end result

A live dashboard and assessment system used by teams and leadership to steer the Agile transformation.

You will work closely with:

  • You combine Agile + Data + Organizational change;
  • You build something that will actually be used at scale;
  • You gain exposure to a complex engineering environment (not just software);
  • You interact with stakeholders across multiple levels of the organization.
