Business Intelligence Analyst (Operations & Supply Chain)

We are looking for a senior BI Analyst who combines strong Power BI development skills with the ability to work closely with business stakeholders. You enjoy understanding operational challenges, translating them into requirements and developing impactful dashboards and analytical reports. What are you going to do?

As a BI Specialist, your responsibilities will include:

• Gain thorough understanding of core processes within KLM Component Services, including Logistics, Commercial, Supply Chain, and Repair;
• Identify needs and clarify requirements to maximize business value utilizing a combination of Dashboards and Decision Support Tools;
• Challenge requirements where appropriate and translate business needs into scalable reporting solutions;
• Analyze data flows, source systems, and highlight data quality issues;
• Design, develop and maintain high-quality Power BI dashboards, reports and semantic models;
• Build trusted relationships with business users, ensuring continuous feedback throughout the development process;
• Develop intuitive dashboards that enable users to make better operational and strategic decisions;
• Perform data profiling and data validation to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of datasets used for reporting and analytics;
• Identify data quality inconsistencies and collaborate with the Data Integrity Team to improve underlying datasets;
• Collaborate with Data Engineers, other BI Specialists and the Product Owner to deliver end-to-end analytical solutions;
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and drive adoption by demonstrating new reports and gathering user feedback;
• Promote a data-driven culture by helping business users get the most value from analytics.

Where do you land?

You will join the Transformation, Continuous Improvement & Data department within KLM Engineering & Maintenance – Component Services, located at Hangaar 14 in Schiphol-East. Our Product Team develops analytical products that support decision making across the entire organization. We work closely with the entire business to deliver modern BI solutions.

You will become part of an ambitious team of Data Engineers, BI Specialists, Business Analyst and Product Owner who are passionate about delivering measurable business impact.

Your profile

You are both technically strong and business oriented. You enjoy building robust Power BI solutions but equally enjoy working with users to understand what really matters. You are an enthusiastic team player who enjoys collaborating with colleagues and contributing to a positive and high-performing team culture.

You have:

• At least 3 years of experience developing Power BI dashboards and analytical solutions;
• Proven experience translating business requirements into reporting and analytics solutions;
• Excellent Power BI development skills, including DAX, data modelling and report design;
• Experience working with semantic models and dimensional modelling principles;
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills;
• A proactive mindset and genuine interest in improving business processes through data;
• Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders;
• Experience working with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, with knowledge of Agile methodologies and the SAFe framework;
• A valid EU work permit.

It is an advantage if you have experience with:

• Supply Chain, Logistics or Operations;
• A strong interest in logistics and supply chain;
• Academic educational background: WO Master's degree;
• The ability and willingness to (learn to) speak Dutch;
• An affinity with Lean Six Sigma and continuous improvement is a plus;
• Familiarity with SQL, Google Cloud Platform (GCP), or similar data platforms.
