What are you going to do?
As a data analyst, you'll be responsible for gathering, analysing, and visualising data to support business performance and strategic decision-making. You’ll assist the team in interpreting results and providing actionable insights.
Your tasks will include:
- collecting, analysing, and visualising data to generate meaningful insights;
- working with programming and analysis tools such as SQL, Python, and Google Analytics;
- designing and managing data pipelines and data models;
- advising on data usage and communicating results to the team and business stakeholders;
- mentoring junior team members and colleagues within the platform.
Where do you land?
You will join the Business Platform Safety Security & Crisis Management (SSC) Business Analytics Support (BAS) team at KLM, based in the Netherlands. The team consists of dedicated professionals working on the digitalization of business processes. You will report directly to the Data Science/Engineering Leader and work functionally together with the Product Owner.
Your profile
We are looking for a data analyst who works proactively and solution-oriented. You quickly analyze where bottlenecks lie and provide clear advice. You easily switch between different tasks and are able to turn data into strategic insights. You have strong communication skills and can present complex data in an understandable way.
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a relevant field;
- You have more than 7 years of experience with data analysis, SQL, Power BI, Python, and GCP BigQuery;
- You are skilled in utilizing Power BI functionalities such as custom visualizations, slicers, filters, drill-through, buttons, and bookmarks to create engaging and interactive data experiences;
- You have expertise in developing advanced DAX measures and complex visualizations that provide in-depth insights into business data;
- You possess solid knowledge of statistical methods and techniques to analyze data trends, variability, and patterns, enabling data-driven decision making;
- You are proficient in optimizing data models, queries, and visualizations to ensure high performance of Power BI solutions;
- You have a strong understanding of data modeling principles and the ability to establish effective relationships between data entities;
- You have knowledge of data management and best practices for data analysis;
- You monitor data quality and define mitigation strategies in cases of suboptimal data quality;
- You possess solid knowledge of statistical methods and techniques to analyze data trends, variability, and patterns, enabling data-driven decision making;
- Dutch is an advantage.
