KLM Real Estate & Facility Contracting is at the heart of this transformation, and data plays a central role in it.

As a Data Analyst intern, you will be a fully integrated member of our team and work on real challenges with real impact. No coffee runs or endless documentation, but direct involvement in analyses that contribute to strategic decisions about space utilization, sustainability, and efficiency within one of the most unique real estate portfolios in the Netherlands.

What are you going to do?

You will dive into a variety of issues related to our real estate and facility data. The projects may differ, but the common thread is always the same: you make data meaningful. Examples of what you may encounter include:

• Analyzing occupancy data to improve efficiency across our real estate portfolio;
• Identifying patterns in energy consumption data to support KLM’s sustainability ambitions;
• Developing and implementing automation proposals to make departmental processes more efficient;
• Exploring how we can present data more attractively, for example through interactive floor plans of our buildings.

You will work hands-on with SQL, Python, and Power BI, and you will have the opportunity to explore where AI applications can make processes smarter. Because you will work on multiple projects, you will quickly build a broad and varied understanding of what data-driven work looks like in practice within an organization like KLM.

You will receive professional guidance from an experienced data analyst who works with the same data on a daily basis. Someone who challenges you, thinks along with you, and helps you grow.

Where do you land?

You will work within the Strategy & Support team of Real Estate & Facility Contracting at Schiphol-East, collaborating closely with colleagues from disciplines such as sustainability, area development, and facility management. The organization is undergoing significant development, which means there is room to truly make an impact.

Your profile

• You are a higher professional education (HBO) or university (WO) student in the final stage of your degree (Data Science, Econometrics, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or a comparable field);
• You have demonstrable experience with SQL and/or Python, gained through your studies or personal projects;
• You have an analytical and curious mindset: you ask the right questions before starting an analysis;
• You are curious about the dynamics of a large organization;
• You have good communication skills in Dutch and English, as you will also present findings to non-technical colleagues;
• You are driven not only to learn, but also to truly build and contribute something meaningful;
• You are available from September 2026 for a period of at least 5 to 6 months.
