What are you going to do?

Describe the main activities in a concrete, concise and comprehensive manner. And, most importantly: don't include specifics about the team or the department, that comes later. After reading this, a candidate must be able to see, in general, what an average day would look like. Maximum five lines. 

Also: 
•    write a complete sentence in every bullet; 
•    create each sentence as if it starts with 'Also' (like these bullets); 
•    start each bullet with a lowercase letter; 
•    end each bullet with a semicolon; 
•    use a full stop only at the end of the last bullet.
 

Where do you land?

Tell about where the candidate will be working. Keep it short and limit yourself to: the physical workplace (location, office), the team (direct colleagues, team name) and the department (name and job title). 

Your profile

Describe the desired soft skills in one paragraph of running text. Do not mention desired characteristics, but the desired behaviour. This appeals to more people and helps you to get a concrete text on paper. For example: ‘You analyse in no time to find where the problem lies. 

List the hard skills requirements in concise bullets. By hard skills, we mean: concrete and measurable. So not the mindset of higher professional education or university level, but a higher professional education diploma or university master's degree in economics. Avoid soft skills such as hands-on, self-starter and team player: any candidate can say that about themselves. Also, mention only the most important skills and keep the profile as 'open' as possible. In this way, many more people are eligible for the job: perhaps even people who would be able to fill the job in a different, but surprisingly good way. 

Follow the same rules as for the bullets above.

•    2+ years of experience as/in...; 
•    experience with...; 
•    knowledge of...; 
•    a good command of Dutch, English and French.

  • Een reiskostenvergoeding van € 0,19 per km. (max. 50 km. enkele reis).
