HBO/WO internships

Whether you are a communications, mechatronics or data science student, you can find challenging work placements at KLM. We mainly offer work experience placements, but graduation work placements are sometimes available too. The majority of interns work at KLM between three and five days a week. This also depends on any graduation research you are doing. You establish the content of this research in collaboration with KLM and your internship supervisor. Would you prefer to expand your horizons with a dual (work/study) placement? That's possible, too. On average, you will work 2.5 days a week (paid) and receive a contract for one or two years. If there's a click between us? Then there’s a possibility for you to progress to an entry-level job.

With that in mind, we usually look for new colleagues with some kind of work experience. Intern Aviation Engineering

‘I also feel that blue virus flowing through my veins.’

‘Being an intern within KLM is the highest possible achievement with my course Aviation at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences. And I fully understand why. I am over the moon and proud when during my lunch break, I have a walk round the hanger; the parked planes, the smell of kerosine, the blue overalls.... At KLM Engineering & Maintenance I feel the blue virus flowing through my veins. During my internship I have experienced an eureka moment, for which an amendment will be made in the learning program. This really give me the sense of adding value to the KLM.’
