Introduction

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Supply Chain Manager to join our Technical Services & Fleet Development team. The team is responsible for continuing airworthiness of KLM Cityhopper’s fleet and the tactical/strategic development of the fleet. The goal is to optimize fleet availability, asset utilization, total cost of ownership and performance.
 

What are you going to do?

The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for defining supply chain strategies, objectives, and plans, with a keen focus on anticipating key developments in the MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul) market. The role involves liaising with suppliers, monitoring supply chain performance, initiating and driving performance improvements, as well as participating in contracting and tenders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define supply chain strategies, objectives, and plans to optimize efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Anticipate key developments in the MRO market and adapt supply chain strategies accordingly;
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services;
  • Monitor supply chain performance and identify areas for improvement;
  • Initiate and drive performance improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain efficiency and reliability;
  • Participate in contracting and tender processes to secure favorable terms and agreements.

Your profile

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field;
  • More than five years of relevant experience in supply chain management, preferably within the aviation industry;
  • A good understanding of economics and its implications on supply chain management;
  • Result-driven mindset with a focus on achieving tangible outcomes;
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to think analytically and strategically;
  • Excellent planning and organizational abilities to manage complex supply chain operations effectively.

  • A gross salary between € 4.988 and € 7.126 per month;
