Introduction

We are looking for a Business Analyst who is the bridge between business and IT and will translate business needs into new functionalities for the reservation API. You will contribute to the realization of high impact business cases in one of the most dynamic environments of Air France KLM: Digital.

What are you going to do?

In this position you will be part of the Reservation API product team. This API is of crucial importance for the Air France and KLM customer as it provides all the information about the customer’s flight reservation(s) and related products.  The API furthermore allows customers to update and add information in the reservation and is a gateway to other API’s. It is therefore an essential component in several steps of the customer journey. You can think of customers being able to manage their existing booking, rebook their flights, check-in for their flight, purchase ancillaries, manage their travel documents and updating their profile. We are continuously bringing new digital innovations to our customers and as a Business Analyst you will be an essential part in the process of realizing these innovations.

Your activities will include:

  • Translate business needs into clear features and user stories with requirements for the product team to work on.
  • Ensure business continuity by handling incidents.
  • Manage the implementation of new functionalities and test/validate these new functionalities.
  • Provide consultancy to business stakeholders. Mainly from a technology perspective, but not necessarily limited to.
  • Define and measure the right KPI’s for new features and monitor the performance of our digital solutions and products.
  • Assist the Product Owner on analysis, product vision and priority setting.
  • Be the epic owner of transversal topics.

Where do you land?

You will be part of the Digital Product & Services department, which is part of the AFKL Marketing division. Within Digital Product & Services you will work closely with other product development experts: Scrum Masters, Business Analysts, Architects, Product Owners and Developers. You will land in one of the most dynamic environments of Air France KLM. We are responsible for all Digital developments on Air France and KLM digital channels (customer facing). Next to that our responsibility includes a wide range of API’s and other backend applications, which are often used across the organization. As a Business Analyst you will work together with stakeholders and product teams from multiple business domains. You are based in Amsterdam but your responsibilities are fully joint (Air France & KLM). You will work closely with your colleagues in Paris, Valbonne and Chennai. At Digital there are a wide range of career opportunities, and this position will provide you with a solid basis for future growth.

Your profile

You are pro-active, confident, eager, and have a curious mindset. You have a good picture of the international traveler, our end user, and you are interested in technical possibilities and trends within the (aviation) industry. Although you do not have to be an IT expert this position does require you to have a certain level of technical affinity as you will be working on quite a technical backend component.

You also have:

  • A bachelor and preferably a master’s degree. For example in Business Administration/Business Information Management or a similar study.
