As we continue to grow, we are looking for a talented Senior Financial Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. With a potential step-up possibility to an international establishment controller role. 
 

What are you going to do?

As a Senior Finance Business Analyst, you play a crucial role within the central finance team, consisting of 3 area controllers and their respective business analysis teams. You identify and/or contribute to cross area processes which can be optimized and you identify best practices which could be copied to other areas and establishments. You are the driving force behind the establishment and standardization of reports and the streamlining of (complex) processes. 
In this role, you will:

• Translate information needs into reports;
• Be skilled in process improvement, digitization, and standardization;
• Approach individuals both within and outside Air France and/or KLM for the data and information you need;
• Generate ideas for more effective use of current tools and propose new tools;
• Assist in conducting complex financial analyses and act as a sparring partner for the area controllers;
• Contribute to business and finance performance monitoring & reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and the month-end closing;
• Actively participate into complex projects. 
   

Where do you land?

The Air France KLM Commercial organization is responsible for the sale of all Air France and KLM tickets in the world. To support ticket sales, various sales campaigns, marketing activities, and loyalty programs are initiated. This guarantees a very dynamic environment where no two days are the same. The central AFKL Commercial controller team consists of 3 area controllers and their own finance teams at the respective locations Paris and Amstelveen. Your home base will be in Amstelveen. 

Your profile

We are looking for someone who thinks in terms of structures, who sees connections and is always searching for links. Someone who sees opportunities to generate new insights by intelligently combining existing information. Additionally, you are technology-driven and innovative. You recognize repetitive tasks, identify the underlying patterns, address and improve them. You excel in process thinking: from source data to final report. You quickly master tools and systems and are able to explain complex issues clearly to the business. You are capable to challenge the area controllers based on proactive analyses and can lead and/or execute projects based on the lean way of working.
Furthermore, you have knowledge of financial accounting and systems, as well as relevant reporting tools (BI/MI applications, DWH, etc.). 
Other qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 7 – 10 years of proven working experience and experience with (business economic) analyses and projects.
• Strong understanding of financial principles, data analysis, and reporting.
• Proficiency in financial software and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, SAP, PowerBI).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly and effectively.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
