Introduction

Working as an operations research analyst in the KARMA team: an opportunity you really don't want to miss. Get started with designing, managing and further developing revenue management systems. Contribute to innovations and improvements that are crucial to KLM's operational results. Join the systems and innovation team of Pricing and Revenue Management, and seize the opportunity for personal growth!

What are you going to do?

As an operations research analyst, you will work on the management and development of the revenue management systems that are essential to Air France-KLM. With around 15 colleagues in Amsterdam and colleagues from the ‘sister’ department in Paris, you will work closely with end users to identify improvements that can be made. You will further specify these improvements with your agile team, consisting of colleagues in Amsterdam and IT professionals in France. In three-week sprints, you will work efficiently towards a working end product. The IT professionals will do the actual programming, and you will test whether it meets the improvements that end users would like to see. You will be involved in the entire process, and as the icing on the cake, you will be involved in training the end users.

You will be part of a newly formed product team that will mainly work on:

  • Strategies that Inventory Analysts can use to control the price for the customer.
  • Control information that is used to prevent flights from departing empty or filling up too early.
  • 'Passenger Net Value', an estimate of the price the customer will pay based on the prices filed by the Pricing department.
  • Partner management. We sell many trips that involve other partners in addition to Air France-KLM. We also want to charge a good price for these trips.

Where do you land?

You will work in our Amsterdam office, within the IMO Revenue Management team. This team collaborates closely with the revenue management teams at Air France and KLM. The team manager of Revenue Management will be your direct supervisor. Together, you will ensure the continuous improvement of the revenue management systems.
