Introduction

You will join the Information Management Organization (IMO) of KLM Engineering & Maintenance. IMO supports the business in achieving its objectives through continuous optimization of processes, information provision, and organization. You will work closely with business unit managers, Information Services, suppliers, and international partners within AF/KL.

What are you going to do?

As a Business Analyst, you act as the link between Product Owners, Project Managers, and the technical IT teams. Your primary role is to understand and translate business requirements into meaningful insights for the IT developers. Conversely, you need to translate technical concepts into non-technical language so that everyone understands what is happening. Additionally, you collaborate with colleagues in the business to explore processes and think about improvement opportunities and user adoption.

Some key responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and modeling business processes, actively engaging and establishing contacts with involved parties
  • Developing requirements and Use Cases in close collaboration with the user organization/product team
  • Developing business cases focused on (maximum) concretized business value creation
  • Designing, developing, and implementing process improvements
  • Designing IT solutions in close collaboration with users, architects, and IT specialists
  • Coordinating and contributing to testing, data migration, implementation (change management), and user support of new IT solutions

Where do you land?

You will join the Information Management Organization (IMO) of KLM Engineering & Maintenance. IMO supports the business in achieving its objectives through continuous optimization of processes, information provision, and organization. You will work closely with operational staff, Information Services, suppliers, and international partners within AF/KL. You will be working in the Engine Services department. This team is responsible for supporting the processes, organization, and information provision required for the engine maintenance of KLM and its customers. All of this mainly takes place from building 410 at Schiphol East. Within our organization, developments are underway that may lead to the restructuring of departments. This vacancy is part of that dynamic, where we strive for transparency and involvement throughout the process.

Your profile

  • You have a university degree or equivalent working and thinking level.
  • You have relevant work experience in IT, Digital & Data.
  • You have thorough knowledge of E&M business processes or you are an enthusiastic and proactive professional with an interest in aviation.
  • You have experience in modeling business processes (including BPMN & ML modeling).
  • You are capable of breaking down complex problems to their core and providing clear, understandable solutions that are embraced by the environment.
  • You have experience with stakeholder management and improving user adoption (e.g., by identifying and addressing issues where necessary).
  • You have strong communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • You are motivated to develop in the field of IT, grow within the BPA role, and within aviation.
