We are looking for a passionate and talented Analytics’ Translator, for curious builders who are biased towards action, and are thriving in a fast-paced, international environment. You understand business requirements and how they fit into the bigger picture, and you can come up with suitable solutions.

Next to this you can explain these issues to stakeholders at every level of the organization in clear language and in a way that matches with their perspective. You look for opportunities, translate them to actions and convince the decision makers.

What are you going to do?

  • Support the Product Owner in translating business opportunities and requirements into technical specificities and data products.
  • Support the PO in translating features into clear user stories for the team that clearly convey the WHY and the WHAT behind each backlog item, preferably in relationship to the product vision, business platform objectives and KPI’s.
  • Own the data product OKRs and follow up.
  • Be the point of contact for business to gather their needs.
  • Organise discovery workshops with business for use case ideation.
  • Requirements engineering & management: ensure that requirements are clearly conveyed to the team and stakeholders outside the team, and secure correct implementation in the model and product.
  • Translate requirements to a functional design and acceptance criteria. Help the team to identify possible solutions that meet the design and criteria. Help in impact analysis, complexity analysis, effort estimation and in breaking down the work in smaller chunks.
  • Secure efficient delivery of the functionality by the team, in line with the functional design and on par with the acceptance criteria.
  • Follow trends in industry, identify opportunities to generate new or additional business impact, support end users in adoption of new features and products.
  • Help prioritize topics based on value.

Where do you land?

You will be part of the SKY-AI team, one of the first data teams created within KLM. A young and ambitious team in the business platform flight. The team consists of Data Scientists, Data Engineers and BI Developers who work together according to the Scaled Agile way of working.

Your profile

  • You have completed a bachelor's or master's degree in a relevant field with focus on operations research or computer science. 
  • At least 4 years’ experience in the data field.
  • You can translate real-world problems into technical requirements.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.
  • Familiar with Miro, Jira and/or other similar tools.
  • Previous experience as a data scientist is preferred.
  • Able to work in an independent manner.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Being able to explain complex technical topics to peers, non-technical colleagues and management in an easy to digest way and adapt style to suit the audience. 
  • ​You are fluent in English, being able to communicate in Dutch is a plus.​​
