Work as an Internal Control Specialist: the flight you really don't want to miss. Internal Control Specialist runs the Internal Control Framework (ICF) program and Risk Management on behalf of AFKL Digital Finance & Procurement department.
The key leadership responsibility is to deliver the Internal Control Framework assurance process. Key stakeholders: Digital Finance & Procurement AFKL Management team, Internal Control department, Finance & Procurement Business managers, Corporate AO/IC Team, Internal Audit, External Auditors and AFKL IT department.
What are you going to do?
The internal Control specialist supports the Director of Exploitation management and Support concerning the Internal Control Framework (ICF) program, Risk management and the compliance & business Ethics program. The purpose is to bring the effectiveness of the Internal Control, risk management and compliance and business Ethics program to a next level including to:
- Develop policy and segregation of duties in user profiles for financial system;
- Alignment of the Risk Control Matrix between Air France and KLM;
- Prepares and writes narratives and risk control matrix as part of ICF;
- Determines and improves the quality of the administrative organization and internal control in accordance with specific controllers including the design of the systems in use;
- Increase level of knowledge & business awareness;
- Achieving standardized & high-quality information;
- Maintain an overall visibility into risks;
- Adopt to external and changing environment and requirements;
- become cost & time efficient;
- Develops accounting procedures for cross-division topics and liaises with airline and group;
- Manages, defines and standardizes the internal control Framework for Finance and Procurement business;
- Performs maintenance on internal control Framework.
- Assesses the internal controls performed (Entity level C, transaction level C and ITGC);
- Coordinates the Fraud Risk sheet and Tis Environment Matrix;
- Organizes fraud and Ris assessments;
- Coordinates and directs the documentation and sign off the DoR.
Coordinates compliance with the results of internal and external audits.
Where do you land?
The internal Control specialist reports hierarchically to AFKL Digital Finance & Procurement Director of Exploitation Management and Support. Internal Control Assurance process contributes to Air France and KLM executive to provide the In Control Statement in the annual report.
Internal Control Specialist works at Air France KLM Digital Finance & Procurement. Although the position is based in Schiphol-East, your responsibilities are fully joint for Air France/KLM.

- Minimum 4 years of relevant work, for example as registered accountant;
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English.
