Type of vacancy: Internship

Hours per week: 32-40
Education: Hbo
Apply before: 11/18/2024

Introduction

Do you want to gain experience in a challenging financial/IT environment within one of the biggest airlines of the world? Do you want to be responsible for the daily operation of the procurement team within the Digital Finance & Procurement department and work on interesting process improvements and projects? This is your chance for an internship at Air-France KLM Digital Finance & Procurement.

What are you going to do?

One of your tasks will be to support the team to keep the systems up and running. Besides that, you will contribute to several improvements. An example of that is the updating and creation of reports related to accruals and forecasting. Additionally you will collaborate in functional developments and in the migration of processes into our system landscape.

Where do you land?

Your desk is situated at the procurement team of Digital Finance & Procurement (DFP) within Air-France KLM at Schiphol-East. The DFP department consists of +/- 120 FTE’s. The DFP is a knowledge center for the financial processes. The DFP acts as an integrator between the user organization and the external and internal IT suppliers. The department is located in the Netherlands and in France serving the Finance and Procurement departments within the Group.

The procurement team that you will work for, contributes to the data collection used for invoice validation of direct and indirect operating costs of both Air France and KLM. Our colleagues who manage the costs need timely, complete and accurate data related to the flight operations. This means that our applications are positioned in the center of a complex landscape linked to all relevant data feeds. We operate different systems that support us with this task. It is our responsibility not only to keep the systems up and running but there is also a significant improvement ambition. You will work in a team of experts, who really involve you in the process. This would be the ideal environment to learn!

Your profile

You are a college or university student in the field of business administration, business IT, finance or another affiliated study in finance and/or IT. We work in a hybrid environment, so we work 50% from home and at least 50% in the office.

You are analytical, proactive, accurate and capable of combining these skills with the practical implementation. Furthermore, communicating in English, both written and verbal, belongs to your set of skills. Working in teams or independently is not a problem for you and you are well advanced in most MS-office tools.

Finally, you should be available to start your internship in the beginning of 2025 for a period of at least 20 weeks, 4-5 days a week. We prefer a start date of February 1st 2025.

We offer

KLM offers you a highly instructive experience in a dynamic organisation in which you will play an important role. You can develop yourself considerably during this internship, both personally and professionally. In addition, this internship offers you the opportunity to build up your network, as you will be working with many different KLM employees!

Another advantage of an internship at KLM is the KLM ''Taxibaan'' association run by and for interns. This association expands your network and organises fun events and interesting excursions within the KLM organisation. There is also an internship allowance.
