Introduction

Independent, creative, and challenging; that's how you can describe this internship! Do you want to help put the Data, Transformation & Continuous Improvement (DTCI) department within Component Services (CS) on the map? Internal communication is essential to make this a success. Is your head full of creative ideas to get everyone on the same page, to excite the employees within CS, and do you want to use your communication skills for this? Are you not afraid to tackle projects independently? Then you might be the emerging talent we are looking for!

What are you going to do?

You will come up with ways to bring attention to the various projects the DTCI team is working on within CS. You will also help improve the onboarding process within the team. Finally, you will independently handle sub-projects within the larger projects your team members are working on. Of course, you will do this together with other colleagues, including another intern. No day will be the same!

Your tasks will include:

  • Setting up internal communication for the DTCI team, including writing texts for an internal newsletter;
  • Creating content, such as videos and visuals;
  • Managing the info screens;
  • Supplementing onboarding modules and supporting the onboarding period of new colleagues;
  • Supporting sub-projects and communication of large programs and products within CS;

Where do you land?

You will land at Schiphol-East, specifically in Hangar 14. This is one of the two locations of Component Services, which is part of KLM Engineering & Maintenance (KLM E&M). The maintenance division of KLM. Together with Air France Industries (AFI), KLM E&M is a leading player in the global aircraft maintenance industry. Besides maintaining the fleet of KLM and Air France, KLM E&M and AFI maintain the aircraft, engines, and components of about 200 customers worldwide. You will be working at Component Services, the unit that performs maintenance on components and provides component availability to both Air France KLM and external customers.

Your profile

We are looking for a 3rd or 4th year university or HBO student in the direction of business administration, communication, marketing, or another communication-related study. This is a co-working internship.
You have a strong personality, are not afraid to make mistakes, and can work both independently and in a team. You are not afraid to take initiative and dare to give your opinion and/or advice. Writing texts comes easily to you, you enjoy making vlogs and/or videos, and you like to immerse yourself in a project.

You are available from January for 4-5 days a week for a period of 5-6 months. If you like to do your internship for a longer period, that is also possible! Working from home is possible occasionally, but it is primarily an on-site role.

Competencies

We offer

KLM offers you a highly instructive experience in a dynamic organisation in which you will play an important role. Another advantage of a internship at KLM is the KLM Taxiway association run by and for trainees. This association expands your network and organises fun events and interesting excursions within the KLM organisation. There is also a traineeship allowance.
