Internship: Take data to the next level within E&M for Aircraft Maintenance
Type of vacancy: Internship
City: Schiphol Oost
Hours per week: 32-40
Education: Wo
Apply before: 11/25/2024
Introduction
With the transition from non-digital to digital, there is still a lot of work to be done within Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) to improve data usage. Some parties lack insight or are unable to generate the necessary insights in time, insights they need to ensure that the overall Wide Body C-Check maintenance process proceeds faster than it currently does. During this internship, you will primarily review the insights needed for equipment and material handling for the aircraft overhaul at KLM.
What are you going to do?
During the internship, you will have the freedom to help with:
- clarifying existing business processes,
- identifying useful available data,
- creating dashboards/overviews.
You will only have time to work on this assignment. No other assignments can be brought to the internship due to the expected workload. This internship provides you with the opportunity to see how enjoyable it is to work for E&M. Additionally, it offers you a great chance to directly assist in improving the support needed to make aircraft maintenance (the C-Check) more efficient than it currently is. It is a valuable opportunity to work on a project that can be immediately tested and implemented together with a Continuous Improvement Team, which will also teach you some aspects of Lean Six Sigma on the side.
Where do you land?
You will be working in Hangar 14 at Schiphol-East, a key player in the Wide Body C-Check overhaul team. Your office will be located next to where the aircraft is stationed; definitely not a boring office space!
Your profile
- You are an HBO master's student or a WO bachelor's or master's student, preferably with a background in aviation studies,
- You have a general interest in Airline Maintenance,
- You are capable of creating programs using Python,
- You have general experience with data analysis,
- You have experience and/or knowledge of Power BI/Spotfire.
Competencies
We offer
KLM offers you a highly instructive experience in a dynamic organisation in which you will play an important role. You can develop yourself considerably during this internship, both personally and professionally. In addition, this internship offers you the opportunity to build up your network, as you will be working with many different KLM employees!
Another advantage of an internship at KLM is the KLM ''Taxibaan'' association run by and for interns. This association expands your network and organises fun events and interesting excursions within the KLM organisation. There is also an internship allowance.
Ready for your next destination?
Does this sound like the perfect opportunity for you and are you ready for a flying start? Then don't wait any longer, and send us your CV for the 'final boarding call' on 11/25/2024! You don't need to write a cover letter; during your application we will ask you some specific questions. You will be notified within one week of the closing date of the vacancy.
