Introduction
The aircraft maintenance division of Air France-KLM is a leading Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) organization. Besides maintaining our own fleet, we also maintain aircraft, engines, and components of more than 150 customers. Are you ready to make our organization smarter with the help of Big Data, AI, and data analytics?
What are you going to do?
As a Predictive Maintenance Engineer, you will be working in an innovative and energetic team, right at the intersection of aircraft system engineering, maintenance operations and IT. With modern airplanes generating evermore data, it will be your job to leverage this data into valuable insights from analyses and optimizations. Harnessing the power of real-time sensor data in combination with maintenance data, you will be able to predict aircraft component failure before operational issues or expensive repairs could occur.
In this role you will guide the development and adoption of new Aircraft Predictive Maintenance products from concept to implementation, focusing on adding value to our maintenance organization. You will be part of a multi-disciplinary Agile/SCRUM team including data scientists, data- and software engineers, business experts, and end users. Using technical domain knowledge in combination with data-driven methods, the challenge is to find patterns in the data that hold predictive power. Then working together with the team to develop them into a product and guide the implementation process and support its usage and continuous improvement. In addition to our internal development of predictive maintenance, we also evaluate and use products from other vendors.
Where do you land?
You will become part of KLM Engineering & Maintenance (E&M), in the innovative and energetic CQ Big Data team. Our location is at Schiphol Oost, which is right in the middle of the maintenance operation!
