As a Project Manager for SAP projects, you will ensure that our SAP initiatives are planned, executed, and delivered with precision and quality. You’ll oversee the entire project lifecycle, from planning through to post-deployment, making sure everything aligns with business goals. Your leadership and coordination will be crucial to the success of these SAP projects.

You’ll collaborate closely with project teams, scrum masters, and stakeholders across the organization to ensure that the release calendar is executed according to plan and meets AFKL’s standards of excellence.

What are you going to do?

Project Planning & Coordination:

· Manage the SAP Roadmap project/release calendar, ensuring integration with other project managers at AFKL for a smooth and coordinated schedule.

· Facilitate’s planning sessions with stakeholders to define project milestones, identify the sequencing of release packages, identify (release)risks early, and supports the planning of technical releases.

· Document and communicate all changes clearly, keeping stakeholders informed and aligned throughout the process.

· Determine and enforce freeze periods to guarantee stability in production environments during critical phases.

Project Quality & Compliance:

· Ensure that all IT teams and project stakeholders meet the established (release) acceptance criteria.

· Set and manage release management standards

· Ensure proper delivery and documentation of cutover runbooks to lay the groundwork for future project success.

Project Execution:

· Oversee the deployment of transports into Acceptance, Pre-Production, and Production environments, ensuring smooth execution of major, minor, and emergency releases.

· Work closely with project leads and scrum masters to ensure milestones are met and criteria are consistently applied, while managing dependencies between parallel deployments.

· Proactively monitor all phases of the project, resolving issues and keeping stakeholders updated on the status before, during, and after deployment.

· Manage emergency response efforts, guiding incidents from identification to resolution with minimal disruption to production environments.

· Collaborate with stakeholders to coordinate data refreshes for testing and pre-production environments.

Where do you land?

You will work at Schiphol-Oost, in the middle of the hangars surrounded by aircrafts. Expect a very dynamic and internationally oriented working environment, where you will work closely with ambitious IT and business colleagues. We have a strong motivation to perform, but a healthy balance between work and private life is also central to AFKL.

Your profile

You have extensive experience in project management, specifically in an SAP oriented environment and are able to lead and manage our release management processes and governance with a strong focus on results. You can quickly switch between different parts of a project, paying attention to detail while also keeping an eye on the bigger picture. You know how to prioritize and communicate clearly with all stakeholders.

 

· You hold a Master's degree (WO) or Bachelor's degree (HBO), preferably in a business or ICT-related field;

· You have at least 5 years of experience in SAP project management, preferably in IT environments;

· You are familiar with project management methodologies such as Prince2, Agile, SCRUM, and ITIL;

· You have experience with large, complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams;

· Knowledge of and experience with logistic and maintenance processes is an advantage

· You are fluent in both written and spoken English and preferably also in Dutch.

· Willingness to travel to colleagues in France
