In het kort

Flight KL875 is made possible, because of you!

You enable us to maintain our planes, to sell tickets, our passengers to check in and cargo to be transported . As a KLM DevOps Engineer you will contribute to unforgettable flights.

You will be working as a DevOps Engineer in the Database Competence Center at KLM IT Operations, a multi-cultural team spread across our 4 IT locations in the Netherlands and France.

Data is strategic for our group, its knowledge and use are determining factors for improving our performance in a highly competitive context. To do this, our database infrastructure must be efficient, secure, highly available, delivered in self-service mode, both in our private Cloud and in our public Clouds.

Working on our database infrastructure means being at the heart of the Cloud transformation of the Air France/KLM information system.

Wat ga je doen?

Within the Database Competence Center of the IT Operations department, organized into Agile teams, you will act as a technical expert on database products such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis and CosmosDB in a Linux environment, either in our on premise datacenters or in our Clouds.

You will contribute to the proper functioning and performance of these databases. You create and improve monitors, health checks, policies, pipelines etc. Together with the (lead) architects you determine the Roadmap of the department.

You will participate in the transformation of the Air France-KLM database landscape to the Cloud. You support migrations of the On Premise environments to the Cloud.  With your proven experience, you advise your own team, as well as others, in making the right decisions.

In more detail, your tasks will consist of:

• Carrying out technical studies and participate in innovation through the creation of new Cloud database services: technical architectures, choice and testing of technical solutions, implementation of solutions, technical migrations,
• Providing support for operations and development actors in a DEVOPS approach, particularly around the performance of systems and applications,
• Performing technical developments necessary for the operation and automation of the most common installation / administration / operation tasks,
• Participating in 'task forces' and other continuous improvement cells following problems or production incidents applying your expertise,

Our Cloud training and knowledge transfer programs will allow you to update your skills and develop your expertise on an ongoing basis.

Waar land je?

In an international Agile team at Schiphol-Rijk. We work in a hybrid mode, so you will work partly from home and partly from the office. You will join a dynamic team with driven and experienced colleagues.
