Within our Strategy, Data & Intelligence team, we are building a solid data and information foundation. We translate data, trends, and business needs into strategies and solutions that help the organization become even more data-driven. We are looking for a passionate Data Engineer to strengthen our team!
What are you going to do?
Together with your team of Data Engineers, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining data and machine learning pipelines. You will work with the latest technologies and play a crucial role in successfully utilizing our data and analytics platforms. You ensure that data is modeled in such a way that it precisely shows what, for example, is happening in our flight operations or in terms of sales and is easily and effectively deployable for various analytics purposes.
And there’s more to look forward to, like:
- Acquiring knowledge of business data sources and their connection with business domains;
- Developing and implementing data pipelines for BI and analytics;
- Implementing data and machine learning pipelines, models, and APIs in production;
- Maintaining the data and analytics cloud platform;
- Introducing and applying best practices within data engineering.
Where do you land?
You will be part of the Strategy, Data & Intelligence (SDI) team, which, in addition to Data Engineers, consists of the Lead SDI, Analytics Translators, Data Scientists, Data Analysts, and Business Consultants. You will work closely with your SDI colleagues, the Cloud Platform Team, and our (data) colleagues at Transavia France. As a Data Engineer, you will report to the Lead SDI.
Within SDI, we work Scrum according to the Spotify model. This means we have two multidisciplinary squads, each focusing on several departments within Transavia (for example, Customer & Proposition, Passenger & Operations Control, Network & Resource Planning, Schedule & Resource Optimization, and/or our operational departments). As a Data Engineer, you will be part of one squad, where you will apply your expertise.
You will also be part of the Data Engineering chapter, which consists of a Lead Data Engineer and Data Engineers. The Lead Data Engineer will coach you and help you develop your growth path to acquire knowledge of new technologies and best practices.
Your profile
As a Data Engineer, you bring:
- A completed a university degree;
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in a data engineering position;
- Experience with Python, Airflow, Azure, and PowerBI;
- You are energized by change, collaboration, and achieving results;
- You speak and write fluent English and have some knowledge of Dutch.
We offer
- Gross monthly salary between €4.464,- and €7.531,-;
- 8% holiday pay and an 8.33% year-end bonus;
- Mobility budget of €658,-;
