Working on the aircraft platform
If you’re going to work for us as a platform employee, then you certainly need to know how to get things done! When the aircraft arrives at the gate, it has to be unloaded safely. You take care of everything from placing chocks under the wheels to unloading the luggage from the plane. It’s a tremendous job, because everything for a quick departure comes together here! Do you like teamwork and tackling problems? Then you are perfect for this job.

Operating as a baggage handler
As a baggage handler you’re ready for a challenge in all circumstances. You work in the baggage hall at Schiphol Airport and here you sort all baggage. Loading and unloading also make up part of the job, as does the transportation of baggage between different handling locations. You give our passengers a flying start, because they all need their luggage! And did you know that the atmosphere here is amazing?

Passenger Services at Schiphol
Does the dynamic of the gates and departure hall appeal to you? Then the position of ground steward(ess) is for you! You check the travel documents of passengers at Schiphol and make sure everyone is checked-in on time. Or, would you prefer working at the gate? That’s also possible! Whatever you choose, you will be in daily contact with KLM customers from all over the world.

Join us at Cargo
As a cargo employee, you unload the goods from transport pallets, transport them and help load trucks. Would you prefer working on the administrative side of our cargo division? Then you could check the incoming and outgoing documents of the goods. Did you know that we transport goods to about 350 destinations all over the world? You can play a role in this!

Always wanted to take a closer look at an airplane? You could clean them from an aerial platform! Or, would you like to take care of repairs and inspections on the wheels? Take aircraft parts from one location to another? The possibilities at our maintenance division are endless. The great thing is that we can always use someone here and you get the very best look behind the scenes at a major airline!

Contribute to a punctual departure time
On the ramp all groundwork comes together until the aircraft doors close for departure. At Schiphol, we call the 'aircraft turnaround' the perfect pit stop of an aircraft. Do you like sitting in the driving seat, do you get excited about re-fueling, filling the aircraft with water, driving the crew or towing the aircraft? Always safely and always on time?
